KapanLagi Network Bring Indonesia's Best Android Experience via Oomph
Jakarta, 9 October 2015 - Oomph, one of Indonesia's leading mobile content providers for Android, announced earlier today that it recently sealed a partnership with KapanLagi Network (KLN), the biggest online media company in the country. With the partnership, Oomph will distribute news and content from all of KLN's media titles, including KapanLagi, Merdeka, Muvila, Fimela, Bola Net, and more.
Since receiving funding from IMJ Investment Partners in February, Oomph has seen significant growth in its Indonesian user base. The company now has more than 7 million active registered users on its network.
"We are very happy to have this collaboration with KapanLagi Network as one of the biggest media portals in Indonesia. Besides adding content, we also hope that our users can spend more time in exploring our app," says Oomph co-founder and CEO Arthur Chua.
For end users, Oomph's new alliance with KLN is a game changer. Not only can Oomph subscribers get access to the highest quality and family apps, games, and more, but they can now get their daily dose of news. With a readership of over 68 million per month, KLN is looking to grow that number with Oomph as a partner.
"Partnering with Oomph is one of the ways for KLN to provide the best content to readers," says Billy Suryajaya, COO of KLN. "With KLN onboard, we hope we can bring a fresh user experience to Oomph's users, where they can read the latest news while picking games and apps to install."
The two firms will continue to aggressively build out Indonesia's Android content landscape, as the mobile market continues to heat up. Smartphone penetration in Indonesia is forecast to reach 37.5 percent by 2017. For more information, stats, or interview requests please get in touch.
